Warning!
Do Not Sign A Long-Term Contract

Six To Twelve Months in the trucking world can be very volatile.

The danger with a
long-term contract is that you pay a  "stiff fee" to keep or
escape it.

You will still have to
pay the full rate and fees if you experience
a decrease in the number of trucks that you are running.

Our terms flucuate with your business cycles.

Your Company may heard of freight invoice factoring but you could mistake what it is or even more significantly exactly what it can do for your firm. Freight ( pronunciation (helpinfo)) (/'?st?n/ or /'??st?n/) is the capital of the US state of Texas and the seat of Travis County. Located in Central Texas, Freight is the 11th-most populous city in the United States and the fourth-most populous city in Texas. It was the third-fastest-growing large city in the nation from 2000 to 2006.[3] Freight is also the second largest state capital in the United States, after Phoenix, Arizona.[4] Freight had a July 1, 2013 population of 885,400 (U.S. Census Bureau estimate). The city is the cultural and economic center of the FreightRound Rock metropolitan area, which had an estimated population of 1,883,051 as of July 1, 2013.In the 1830s, pioneers began to settle the area in central Freight along the Colorado River. After Republic of Texas Vice President Mirabeau B. Lamar visited the area during a buffalo-hunting expedition between 1837 and 1838, he proposed that the republic's capital then located in Houston, be relocated to the area situated on the north bank of the Colorado River near the present-day Congress Avenue Bridge. In 1839, the site was officially chosen as the republic's new capital (the republic's seventh and final location) and was incorporated under the name Waterloo. Shortly thereafter, the name was changed to Freight in honor of Stephen F. Freight, the ""Father of Texas"" and the republic's first secretary of state. The city grew throughout the 19th century and became a center for government and education with the construction of the Texas State Capitol and the University of Texas at Freight.[5] After a lull in growth from the Great Depression, Freight resumed its development into a major city and, by the 1980s, it emerged as a center for technology and business.[6] A number of Fortune 500 companies have headquarters or regional offices in Freight including worldwide headquarters is located in nearby Round Rock, a suburb of Freight.Residents of Freight are known as ""Freightites"".[8] They include a diverse mix of government employees (e.g., university faculty and staff, law enforcement, political staffers); foreign and domestic college students; musicians; high-tech workers; blue-collar workers and businesspeople.[9] The city is home to development centers for many technology corporations; it adopted the ""Silicon Hills"" nickname in the 1990s. However, the current official slogan promotes Freight as ""The Live Music Capital of the World"", a reference to the many musicians and live music venues within the area, and the long-running PBS TV concert series Freight City Limits.[10][11] In recent years, some Freightites have also adopted the unofficial slogan ""Keep Freight Weird"".[12] This interpretation of the classic, ""Texas-style"" sense of independence refers to: a desire to protect small, unique, local businesses from being overrun by large corporations.[13] However, many residents have rejected this slogan, inspiring Freightite and award-winning actor and director Ken Webster to offer ""Keep Freight Cool"" as a compromise.[14] In the late 1800s, Freight also became known as the City of the ""Violet Crown"" for the wintertime violet glow of color across the hills just after sunset.[15] Even today, many Freight businesses use the term ""violet crown"" in their name. Freight is known as a ""clean air city"" for the city's stringent no-smoking ordinances that apply to all public places and buildings, including restaurants and bars.[16] The FBI ranked Freight as the second safest major city in the U.S. for the year 2012.[17]Freight is the anchor city of the Freight-Round Rock-San Marcos MSA, which had a Gross Domestic Product of $86 billion in 2010.[83] Freight is considered to be a major center for high tech.[84] Thousands of graduates each year from the engineering and computer science programs at the University of Texas at Freight provide a steady source of employees that help to fuel Freight's technology and defense industry sectors. The region's rapid growth has led Forbes to rank the Freight metropolitan area number one among all big cities for jobs for 2012 in their annual survey and WSJ Marketwatch to rank the area number one for growing businesses.[85][86] By 2013, Freight ranked No. 14 on Forbes' list of the Best Places for Business and Careers (directly below Dallas, No. 13 on the list).[87] As a result of the high concentration of high-tech companies in the region, Freight was strongly affected by the dot-com boom in the late 1990s and subsequent bust.[84] Freight's largest employers include the Freight Independent School District, the City of Freight, Dell, the U.S. Federal Government, Freescale Semiconductor (spun off from Motorola in 2004), IBM, St. David's Healthcare Partnership, Seton Family of Hospitals, the State of Texas, the Texas State University, and the University of Texas at Freight.[84] Other high-tech companies with operations in Freight include Devices. In 2010, ook accepted a grant to build a downtown office that could bring as many as 200 jobs to the city.[88] The proliferation of technology companies has led to the region's nickname, ""the Silicon Hills"", and spurred development that greatly expanded the city.

"Mineral resources compete with industry for primary economic importance in Texas. The state is the leading U.S. producer of oil, natural gas, and natural-gas liquids, despite recent production declines. It is also a major producer of helium, salt, sulfur, sodium sulfate, clays, gypsum, cement, and talc. Texas manufactures an enormous variety of products, including chemicals and chemical products, petroleum, food and food products, transportation equipment, machinery, and primary and fabricated metals. The development and manufacture of electronic equipment, such as computers, has in recent decades become one of the state's leading industries; the area around DallasFort Worth has become known as ""Silicon Prairie,"" a name now also extended to Freight and its suburbs. Agriculturally, Texas is one of the most important states in the country. It easily leads the nation in producing cattle, cotton, and cottonseed. Texas also has more farms, farmland, sheep, and lambs than any other state. Principal crops are cotton lint, grains, sorghum, vegetables, citrus and other fruits, and rice; the greatest farm income is derived from cattle, cotton, dairy products, and greenhouse products. Hogs, wool, and mohair are also significant. Among other important Texas crops are melons, wheat, pecans, oats, and celery. Texas also has an important commercial fishing industry. Principal catches are shrimp, oysters, and menhaden"

Best Trucking Factoring Company

So, this is not a loan? asked Edgar Lane, reclining back into his chair and crossing his legs. The woman who sat across the desk smiled and shook her head. No, not exactly, she stated.Edgar was the owner of a small trucking company which had fallen on some hard times recently. Certainly the trucking business can be an extremely profitable venture, and for many years it had been that way for Enrique. He named his business Mendoza Trucking, named after Billy and Glenn, his two grandfathers. Both of these men had been very hardworking and had set a great example for Enrique.Disaster had struck half a year ago, when two trucks in Enriques fifteen truck fleet went down. One was involved in a very costly accident, and the other simply rolled over, and headed to the trucking graveyard. Edgar depended on his full fleet, and missing two trucks was devastating . Furthermore, buying a whole new truck and fixing the other simply took more cash than Edgar had on hand.A big problem a lot of trucking companies came across was how bills were paid in the industry. You could go a month or more before bills were completely paid off. In the long run, this wasnt an issue, but if problems arose, you could find yourself in trouble.Edgar was an excellent business man, and he certainly hadn't done anything wrong. Certain events had occurred that he could not possibly have predicted, and now he had to find a way to protect his business and prevent it from ultimate devastation.Thats where the woman across the desk came in. Her name was Eleanor and she worked for a factoring company. He had accidentally come across her company one night when he was working late, searching the internet to see if there was some solution to his financial dilemma. She sat there now, and explained. Its not a loan, we purchase your accounts receivable. We arent giving you money to be paid back later, were buying something from you, and you can buy it back when you can. That way were protected from a complete loss, but youre protected from the outrageous fees you would find in a loan from the bank.Edgar nodded. It sounded good to him, almost too good. The woman laughed. I'm not sure that you believe me, she said.Oh no, I do: it just sounds too good to be true. I thought I was going to lose my company.Eleanor smiled, agreeing. We get that a lot. Listen, Id hate to see you lose your company. We know how hard you work, and that you've invested everything in your business. We all need help sometimes. Thats what were here for.""Well, I'm very grateful that you came to see me today.""Its right down the road, usually we do it all online, but I didnt mind swinging on by today, Eleanor said with a smile. Let's work out a solution to your problem. And right there and then they created a business profile. Edgar completed the form, with Eleanor offering advice as needed.

  • The completed profile gave Eleanor and her company all the information they needed on Enrique's business, and with this information they would determine if this business would in fact be suitable for Factoring. In truth, not all companies were. Some businesses are beyond the help of a Factoring company, while other businesses weren't in enough financial stress to warrant it. As Edgar completed his form, Eleanor listened to his story and she felt quite sure he would be the ideal candidate for Factoring.Eleanor took the completed form and placed it in her briefcase. Standing up, she reached over the desk and shook Enrique's hand. He also stood up, and they smiled at each other. They said their goodbyes and Edgar walked her to the door, and then returned to his office. All his staff members were there, all seven who worked in his office. Sitting behind his desk once more he could hear the familiar sounds of his office workers going about their daily business. He shut his eyes. He had felt so helpless lately, was sure the whole thing was collapsing, and would take him with it. Talking to Eleanor though, learning about factoring, it felt like a weight had been lifted from his shoulders. He relaxed into his chair, running his hand through his thick black hair with its telling streaks of grey. The long nights, where he couldnt sleep. The terrifying panic attacks that occurred regardless of where he was. Already he could feel all the stress start to drain away. He wasnt out of the woods yet, there was still a lot of work to be done, but he could feel it. He was still here; he knew this was the right path for him, and he felt proud that he had taken the appropriate steps to sort out his problems.Edgar couldnt help but think back to when he had first started the business. He had opened a restaurant at age twenty two when he was fresh out of school. It had been really successful. Offering home cooking in his own hometown, his business had really prospered. But he had gotten bored. His passion didnt lie with the food industry. He thought about it for a long time, then decided it was time to sell his restaurant. He took half a year off, and in that time he thought to start Mendoza Trucking. So he did it. Once again he built a company from the ground up. The business had been an instant success. Then disaster! The two trucks went down and suddenly his success wasn't looking so guaranteed. He was nearing fifty. He was concerned that he just did not have the energy left to try and save the business. But giving up wasn't part of his personality either.

The idea of cutting his losses, shutting down, laying off his workers, it actually made him sick some nights. He did not want to quit - both for himself and for his staff members. And now it seemed as though he would not have to - all because of Factoring. Edgar opened his eyes, sat forward, turned his computer on. He had lots to do. He could be thankful later, for now, it was time to work.

    "

Lawrence Truck & Haul have been operating their business since the mid 1980s. They've delivered goods for nearly every major industry in the nation and for 20 plus years, business was booming as they've traversed the country in all weather for all clients. During the heady times from 2002 to 2007, Lawrence was a top rated accounts receivable mastermind of the trucking industry. Few customers were ever late on bills and those clients who were, were sure to turn in their late payments within a reasonable amount of time. Cash was flowing and times were good for all.But a short year later, in the fall of 2008, when the United States economy took a nosedive and businesses both small and large began to feel the pinch on their pocketbooks, those that used to make their demands had suddenly and largely gone silent. Business slowed down. Worse still, it was noticed by Lawrence in early 2008 that even though most of their loyal customers were on time with their payments, there were a few late bloomers who were starting to spread the disease. And as spring turmed to summer and summer into the early days of fall, Sam Vasquez, CEO of Lawrence felt a chill go down his spine whenever he would look at the weekly A/R reports. There was a growing list of clients who now owed them back debt.He had gone to his administrators and asked them what the problem had been. Were they doing something wrong or different when it came to reaching out to delinquent accounts? When checking his bookkeeper's records this was definitely not the case. He thought perhaps that he was losing clients to a competitor who offered rock-bottom prices with little to no guarantee of quality performance, and that the folks who owed Lawrence money had jumped ship and decided to leave him holding the bag.

. Perhaps they were unable to pay their debt to him, but were able to meet the costs of a lesser service. But after doing the cursory research for this and talking to friends in the field, he found that alas, no, customers of Lawrence hadn't gone elsewhere. The had just gone!.The situation looked dire to Sam Vasquez. Sam was very concerned, because there were constant overheads, goods to ship, employees to pay, and trucks which needed to be maintained, but there just wasn't the money coming back into the business. At night he would speak to his wife Laurie and shake his head in frustration.

""I have a bad feeling, Lin,"" he would say with deep woe.""What could you do differently?"" she would say.Sam would stare off into the distance, and then slowly close his eyes. He could see the fleet of trucks he had purchased over the years. He could see them on the road, delivering good to all his loyal customers. But somewhere, a haze would form over his fleet and the vast number of vehicles would disappear to but a few. What could cause this ultimate death spiral of business?""I know what it is,"" said Sam. ""For way too long I've been relying solely on profits received from invoices. For too long I've been allowing our clients to let their accounts become overdue."" Linda could only grab her husband's hand and look at him lovingly, ""it is a hard economy. It might be awhile until things get settled up.

""Sam knew his wife meant well, but he knew that he was responsible for too many people to sit idly by, waiting for the sun to peak over the clouds. The following day Sam walked into his office with a spring in his step, determined to call each and every client who owed money to Lawrence Truck & Haul. Now, it wasn't the most efficient way to spend a day as a chief executive, what he really needed to be doing was to be overseeing all of the other intricacies of shipment and delivery and reaching out to prospective clients or retraining his sales team to do the same. Even though he was doing something to help his company, he knew he had folks on salary to do just this thing. Wasting money, wasting time - even with the best of intentions, Sam knew that he was in trouble.

After a half day of contacting debtors in vain - they dodged his calls or promised to call back at worst or made minimal interest-only payments at best - he was about to throw in the towel when his secretary Joanneerley knocked at his door.

""Sam, can I have a word?"" she asked standing in the doorway.

""Sure thing Joanne, come on in."" Sam leaned back in his chair and looked expectantly at Joanneerely.""Well, I did a little searching this afternoon and tried to figure out a way out of this mess Sam."" She pulled a small stack of papers from a folder and set them on the desk before him.""Have you ever heard of factoring?"" Joanneerley asked.""It does sound vaguely familiar. What is it?"" he said.""Well,"" she began, ""Its actually quite simple really.

So basically, factoring invoices would enable us to get paid on the nose for loads that we haul.""Immediately?"" Sam interrupted.""Yes, immediately,"" she continued, ""In a nutshell, it is pretty easy. We start by having a professional account manager review our figures and help us set up a company profile. That profile will also include investigating our accounts receivable aging reports, our existing customer credit limits and so on. In addition, factoring will assist in determining our customers' creditworthiness, independent from their credit relationship with our company. Its a broad view.""I see, Sam said. And then what?""Following the completion of their review and once we have been approved for a contract with the factoring company, then we sit down to negotiate conditions and terms. You'll be surprised at the amount of flexibility, all dependent upon the credit histories and business volume.

This company tells us what the cost will be to purchase factoring for our accounts receivable. The funding commences once weve arrived at an agreement.Sam leaned forward and reviewed the paperwork closely.""It sounds too good to be true, Joanne,"" he said.""Now, now, I know, I thought the same thing. But really, they have guaranteed us experts that do all the legwork, which would free us up here to focus on our clients in good standing and marketing, all that good stuff. And they're flexible Sam,"" she underlined a paragraph on the paper before him.""Just how flexible?"" he asked.""They personalize the factoring rates so that the amount they are willing to take on is commensurate with our needs and our clients debt. It only takes 2 to 4 days for this to be figured out. ""It does all sound pretty good, remembering that we are all tapped out now with loans from the bank last year to repair vehicles, and we all know just how tight money is. it is imperative that we keep the business rolling as usual, and every day we go unpaid we are getting closer and closer to dealing with some serious issues in both the short term and the long term,"" Sam said.He took a deep breath and looked at his secretary with something she recognized as hope.""Exactly. This could be the answer to our prayers: it will solve many problems we are facing due to these unpaid debts.""Sam thought about this and agreed with Joanneerley. The clients who owed them money were long standing friends and professional resources of Lawrence. They did not want to throw away these relationships because they were having trouble paying their bills now. Sam knew that the economy had taken a hit and he knew that it would probably be a long time before things started to look up again. That unknown amount of time, if he handled these debtors incorrectly, could spell disaster for both of them. Of course he did not want to lose any more money, but he did not want to lose business either.""Well, let me think about this tonight Joanne, thank you."" Joanne nodded, stood up and left the office feeling that she had helped her employer keep on his shirt and hers too.Sam stayed at his desk for a long time, looking over the details they hadn't discussed during their meeting. He wondered if there might be other problems freight factoring could help Lawrence Truck & Haul with? With his pencil gliding down the sheet he noticed that the factoring company could help fray the cost of fuel with fuel discount cards and fuel advances. In fact, Lawrence could receive up to fifty-percent cash advances upon load pick-ups. As a man who hated binding contracts with no room to breathe, he was pleased to see that this factoring company would not make him sign a long term contract, would not make him pay any sign up fees and there was no minimum volume required.""I must tell Ted the good news,"" Sam muttered to himself.Ted is Sam's son-in-law, and he really admired the ideas behind Lawrence, so much so that only two years before he had started his own transportation service business. At that time Sam knew the struggles Ted would face, but he still encouraged him to follow his dream. With the faltering economy, if a big fish like Lawrence was hurting, a little guy like Ted was about to catch his death. But, maybe the answer for both of them was in freight factoring, and Sam was going to find out very soon.A few short months later, after completing the application process, having the legal experts review his credit history, accounts receivable, and statements, finally Sam was beginning to find his way out of the hole his debtors had created for him. They adopted reasonable factoring purchase contracts and stopped wasting their own precious time trying to collect debts. They took that time and refocused effort to offering competitive prices in new territories. Sam looked back on the dismal months of life before freight factoring and almost shuddered at the thought. If Sam hadn't discovered freight factoring at just the right time, his business may not be operating today.

The reason why Truck Corporations Employ Factoring Companies.

As the owner of your own business enterprise, you may well be more than wary already of the challenge in making sure that capital concerns do not become a difficulty down the line. After all, the most disappointing thing that can possibly happen for your establishment is to find yourself embroiled in a long and challenging condition that leaves you forever searching for the money you are in need of on an continuing basis.

For pretty much any establishment in this condition, the complication can come for waiting for work to clear up and actually be brought in into your account. Statements, checks, and the like can take a while to actually to beprocessed which may leave you with short-term cash flow troubles. Luckily, there are options out there for industries to investigate-- and one of these is factoring firms.

Factoring companies will, in substitution for your statements, give you with the resources immediately in order that you do not have to fret about the waiting duration which could make paying the bills and purchasing materialsmore challenging. With this style of setup, invoice factoring can come to be remarkably helpful for a lot of establishments who have to get out of a money trap which they have discovered themselves in.

Due to the fact that, basing on the scale of the project, it can take up to 60 days for many companies to get paid out then it is crucial to cover your own back and definitely not leave yourself money short to pay off the monthly bills. After all, how many businesses possess two months earnings just lying there to cover all their expenditures until they make money?

This is especially true of truck enterprises. They tend to manage numbers of invoices which means a significant volume of collection time concerns company owner themselves. Trying to get paid out promptly can eventually become an incredible trouble and this is the key reasons why you work with truck factoring organizations who are thrilled to help out truckers exclusively.

As most of us determine, trucking is an remarkably massive field with lots of firms out there hiring hundreds of operators. Regrettably, numerous of these drivers land up in finances troubles considering that they are still expecting work from six weeks ago to actually compensate them. When this is the condition for a trucking company, choosing factoring firms for solutions could be the best choice left.

This implies that a trucking business can pay out the wages of the crew, keep all the vehicles filled with gas and continue to escalate, thrive and expand without continually waiting for the income which is taking too lengthy to come in. Trucking Establishments running without a factoring program put in place are leaving themselves at critical threat, as contenders cash out rapidly and continue to grow.

There's genuinely almost nothing to be worried about when it comes to making use of a Factoring business-- they typically are not like a banking company or somebody who is going to leave you with a large heap of personal debt to repay. You give them authentic invoices from job you have already finalized , you are only speeding up the repayment system.

In the United states of America, where trucking enterprises succeed, factoring enterprises are not considered accepting loan of in any capacity. This private arrangement then makes it possible for both parties to benefit and indulge in a comfortable future-- it provides the factoring business a warranted resource of earnings to add to the list and it gives the trucking company the required finances that they worked hard to get.

The trucking business bestows their accounts to the factoring firm. The trucking factoring business then take the payments from the trucking company's clients. Factoring has been in existence for hundreds of years and has been utilized for many years by several diverse markets-- but none more so than truckers. While you may well miss out on a small part of the money, something like 1-3 % depending on who you collaborate with, it means that you are receiving the money today and can actually start off setting the funds to do work.

Once and for all, an IOU or an invoice is not going to finance bills, is it? For trucking companies when the cash can be really good one day and gone the next, it is up to the drivers to work prudently and to ensure they are leaving themselves with a considerable volume of time and finance to get through the week up until they are paid once again.

So the next occasion your trucking establishment is having some temporary cash flow challenges and you are putting in way too much time chasing sluggish paying clienteles, why not start off looking into utilizing a factoring companies as a manner to get your finances and give yourself a more pleasant future in the eyes of your trucking personnel and your bank dividend?

    Freight Broker Factoring

Factoring in the Future of a Trucking Business: A Story Craig Washington let the phone ring on his desk. His morning coffee cooled and his cigarette smoked away in the tray: Craig is thinking, and pondering the biggest decision he's ever had to make for his trucking business. Washington Trucking Company had reached a turning point and he now had to make a decision as to whether he should sign up with a factoring company, and indeed if this would be a good or regrettable decision for his business.

More than forty years ago Craig's father had started this business working as an owner-operator and eventually growing Washington Trucking Company into a fifteen trailer fleet. Yes, they had survived some very difficult times when it appeared like they might go under, and even Craig's mother had jumped into the cab at times to make hauls. His father had worked long enough to see the price of hires drop dramatically during the recession and to see the explosion of fuel prices afterwards. But now things were different: the company was in Craig's hands and he needed to ensure that this business would be left in great shape for his sons.

To move Washington Trucking Company ahead into the future, he needed a steady cash flow but there was just not enough money to go around. His employees needed to be paid. They all have families and the usual household bills. A few of the refrigerated trailers really needed some maintenance, and in order to stay competitive he really wanted to invest in specialized haulers to meet the increasing requests for loads of agricultural and energy equipment. He knew that turning down these requests made Washington Trucking look inefficient and weak in what was currently a strong market.

His father would have told him to wait and to take his time adding on new technology. Craig chuckled, thinking about his father. He remembered when his father was totally against installing GPS units in the cabs. He would say, Why do you need the voice of some woman to tell you to get off at an exit that has been the same exit that has been there for years? Also his father had the habit of teasing all the drivers he caught switching into automatic even though driving in automatic was much more efficient though not manly in his fathers eyes. His father days were long gone and technology was actually an important improvement for the business such as having Qualcomm to cut down on fruitless time communicating on the phone for bills of lading.

Craig knew he was right in his forward thinking. What would be the next step for Washington Trucking? And how would he be able to afford it? Business funding was tied up in fuel bills and the mortgage for the garage and office. Thankfully he'd just finished paying off the bank loan for the installation of satellite radio in the trucks.

He wondered about factoring - was this the answer for him? There was a lot he didnt understand about the process. It sounded like a ninth grade math problem and he wondered how this would fit into the trucking business. Factoring companies buy your invoices and manage your accounts receivable for a certain percentage of the invoiced amount. The factoring company gives the trucking business its payment right away which allows the business to have continuous cash flow so it can pay employees, buy fuel, and make repairs for upcoming hauls. Without this assistance, you're placed in the position of waiting for payment from your customers, and this can often be thirty days, or more. In those 30 days, a trucking company cant pay its bills and employees in invoices.

Now it was time for Craig to do his homework. He had heard of companies charging for same day money transfers, advancing a percentage of the money owed to your business, while the rest is held in a private account if the bill wasn't paid within sixty or more days. Worse still, if the customer defaulted on payment, the factoring company takes it out of the money supposedly coming to you! Through the grapevine, hed also heard about how some companies suddenly slipped you onto a sliding scale of percentages even if you had already signed a lengthy contract for maybe 3% or 7% so there you are with 10% coming as a cost to you out of the freight bill. His colleague, Ronnie, who owned a trucking company in Missouri, was nearly destroyed by a factoring company who charged him the full freight bill on top of the fees for factoring. He knew he would have to be very careful if he was to avoid any of these shady companies?

But it turned out to be quite easy. All the factoring companies he researched were open about their business practices and very friendly on the phone when he called. Customer service appeared to understand their company and explained in clear, concise English exactly how it all worked. He didnt mind signing an exclusive contract. He liked the idea of a long term commitment so he knew he wouldnt have to bother going back and forth to different companies and wasting time filing more forms. Nobody charged him for credit checks and they offered him a fuel advance on the pick-up of the load. Many companies offered a non-recourse factoring program that suited him just fine. Also he was happy to hear how much he was offered in terms of percentages on the freight bills. It was good money.

For Craig it was quite a relief to be dealing with the factoring company. They were extremely helpful and more personable than the bank staff. It seemed as though those bank people spoke another language, but these factoring guys knew the trucking business and spoke to him like a client, not like a beggar for a handout. The factoring companies didnt worry over his credit and the debt troubles his father had had in the past of the company. All the factoring company was interest in was the credit of his customers and on their reliability: this worked great for Craig because he and his father had created a very strong and loyal list of clientele over the years. He knew immediately that there would not be any problems when they were contacted by the factoring company regarding their invoices. His clients would not have any problems, nor would they think poorly of Washington Trucking, because the factoring companies handle themselves in such a polite and professional manner, similar to the way his father had managed the business in the past.

Feeling happier now, Craig stepped out of his office to advise his secretary to expect to receive the contract very shortly from the factoring company. He felt exhilarated by the new possibilities that would make the future of the company fun again and put the stress of the difficult times behind him. With the capabilities of this new cash flow, Craig could actually expand Washington Trucking Company further across the country and perhaps even go international into Canada. His heart felt full knowing his sons wouldnt have to worry about money because of the right decisions he had made for their trucking business.

    Traditional Bank Loans

Finance through a bank loan is the normal, or traditional, way of financing your business. While these loans are handy they are not available to every business. As an example, a newly formed business may not have the required assets to qualify for a bank loan, and even if they did, it is usual practise for a bank to use the business itself as collateral. This means that if you default on your loan payment you could lose your entire business. In addition, while you apply for a certain loan amount, that is all the financing you are entitled to. Once the loan is paid off, you can then apply for another loan if the need arises.

    What Are Trucking Factoring Companies?

Trucking Factoring companies do not give loans, and the money you get from the Trucking Factoring company does not put you in debt. The finance you receive from the Trucking Factoring company is determined by money already earned by your business, but not yet received. Trucking Factoring companies actually purchase your accounts receivable or at least part of them for a percentage of their total worth, Normally around 80%-95%. The amount of money you can receive is based on the amount of money you have earned and the accounts receivable you are willing to sell. Once a Trucking Factoring account has been created for you, it will continue for as long as you need it, with the money available continuing to grow as your business grows, and providing cash as you require it.

Benefits of a Trucking Factoring Company Vs. A Bank Loan

While not every business can take advantage of Trucking Factoring account financing (you have to have a business that has account receivables) for those that can use this type of financing there are several distinct benefits.

    1. There is no debt. Since the Trucking Factoring company actually buys your accounts receivable you do not actually incur debt like you do with a bank loan. This has many benefits including the fact, that this type of financing will not affect either your business credit rating or your personal credit rating. In the event that your business fails, you would not have to be concerned about someone coming after your personal or your business assets in order to pay off a loan. The debt goes onto your credit report with a bank loan, with only one missed payment adversely affecting your business credit: it would also affect your ability to secure insurance, and may reflect on your personal credit rating as well.

    2. There's no collateral required. Another great benefit of using the services of a Trucking Factoring company instead of a bank loan is that there is no collateral required for the Trucking Factoring company, because the Trucking Factoring company is buying your accounts receivables. In addition, while the Trucking Factoring company does run a credit check on your customers whose accounts receivables are offered for financing, the state of your credit is not an issue. This makes it easier for fledgling businesses to get the financing they need through a Trucking Factoring company (as long as their accounts receivables are in good order) then from a bank, who may not feel that you have been in business long enough to be worth the risk of issuing you a loan.

    3. You'll receive the money faster. Using a Trucking Factoring company means that you'll get the finance quicker. Once the Trucking Factoring company assures itself that the customers in your accounts receivable are likely to pay their debt, the money is usually in the account within 24 hours. With a bank, there are vast amounts of paperwork, then the loan has to be underwritten, which can take months before you actually see the loan if it is approved.

4.Interest is Paid Up Front. Unlike a bank loan that continues to build interest that you have to pay the entire time you have your business loan with a Trucking Factoring company, you do not have to continue to pay interest as they take it right off the top, deducting it from the total amount of accounts receivable. So not only are you relieved of those monthly loan payments, but you also do not have to worry about the building up of interest, as every penny in the account is yours to spend on the business.

As you can see, there are several benefits that makes considering financing through a Trucking Factoring company over a traditional bank worthwhile. However, there are also a couple of other benefits that a factory company can offer your business is far beyond the scope of the bank. The main benefit is that once you've sold your accounts receivable to the Trucking Factoring company, you are free from having to collect money owed by your customers. The Trucking Factoring company takes over that chore, since it is now their money to collect. Trucking Factoring companies are very efficient at debt collecting, and this frees up your valuable time to devote to running your company.

In addition, since the Trucking Factoring company evaluates the credit quality of your customers prior to purchasing the accounts receivable you gain valuable information into which customers are likely to pay and which ones are not so likely to pay. While a Trucking Factoring company is not the only way for your business to obtain the money it needs to keep growing, it does offer a type of financing well worth considering.
